Gayatri Nair LoboExecutive Director

Gayatri brings to ISLI a mix of strategy consulting and education experience, having worked most recently as a Senior Project Manager at Dalberg Global Development Advisors. At Dalberg, Gayatri led an engagement with a large Indian conglomerate to identify interventions in education on which to focus their group-level CSR efforts. Before joining Dalberg, Gayatri was the Chief Operating Officer at Teach For India, and was part of the scale up of operations during its first 6 years. Gayatri has also previously worked at OC&C Strategy Consultants as an engagement manager in Mumbai and London, working with clients in the media, telecom and retail sectors. Before OC&C, Gayatri worked at Avalon Consulting as an Associate Vice President, on projects across multiple sectors like engineering, chemicals and logistics.

Gayatri has a Masters in Management Studies and a Bachelors in Commerce from Mumbai University. She enjoys travelling, music and spending time with her twin boys.

Nasreen Abdul Khader Chief Programme Officer

Nasreen has spent over 20 years working in the field of education in various capacities. Nasreen started her career as a school teacher and also worked with companies like Educomp, where she coordinated the Intel Teach, Dell Youth Connect, World Links and Teacher Training in Collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Most recently she worked as the Learning Expert with English Helper.

Nasreen has a B.A (Hons) Degree in Sociology from Jesus and Mary College New Delhi. Nasreen loves cooking and plans to publish a cookbook when she retires. She spends every free minute she gets pottering around in her garden.

Sreeja NedungadiChief Operaions Officer

Sreeja worked at The Akanksha Foundation until 2012 as a consultant. She worked with the CEO and the senior leadership team on strategic and operational projects, ranging from organisational development and recruitment to laying the foundation for the India School Leadership Institute. Prior to that, she was the Operations Development Manager at Tesco Stores Limited, the supermarket chain, and focussed on supply chain management projects.

She completed her B.A. in Economics and English from Swarthmore College and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Sreeja spends her time out of the office raising her two young daughters. She also loves travelling with her family, practising yoga and is an avid swimmer.

Kavita RajagopalanChief Academic Officer

With more than a decade of experience in the education sector, Kavita brings a deep understanding of the workings of the sector in India. Her previous roles were at Villgro Innovations Foundation and Menterra Venture Advisors where she led the organisation's investments in education and skill training. She also led Villgro's work in funding public-private partnerships in education. She was also with Teach For India where she first managed training for Fellows across the Mumbai and Pune sites, and was subsequently the Senior Programme Manager in Pune.

Kavita has a Master's in Education from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's in International Studies from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

Shriram Tarawade Marketing Manager, Central Team

Shriram works as a Marketing Manager for ISLI. He is MBA in Marketing and has worked as a Marketing manager in diverse industries.

His interest in education industry and the passion for marketing communication are two key reasons for his role as a marketing manager at ISLI. He believes that at the end of the day, there is nothing more fulfilling than your work contributing to a field which has a direct impact on the betterment of society.

Shriram is also a writer. He has authored one fiction novel and loves penning down short stories and poems in free time.

Ajay Shah Finance Head, Central Team

Ajay brings over 15 years of leadership experience in financial planning, operations and business management with the last 5 years spent in the education/training industry. Ajay believes that the education industry in India is rapidly growing, and there is a need for people who can be mentored into leadership roles. His earlier role was as Finance Head at Sports Gurukul LLP. Prior to that he was Managing Partner at Shreeji Distributors, a firm providing solar control, decorative, privacy and safety film solutions.

He holds a Masters degree in Business Management from the University of Mumbai. He spends his free time taking walks, listening to old Hindi songs and reading books.

Anoop AravindHuman Resources Lead

Anoop leads the HR team at ISLI. He has more than 10 years of experience as a generalist HR and has worked with a leading FMCG company based in Kerala before joining ISLI. He has done his post graduation in Personnel Management and Human Resources from BIMS, Pune.

Anoop loves listening to music, watching movies and spending time with his little daughter during his free time.

Payal JainMonitoring & Evaluation Lead, Central Team

Payal works as the Monitoring and Evaluation Head at ISLI. Prior to joining ISLI, she worked as a data scientist at Mu Sigma Bangalore. She was also a Teach for India Fellow in Pune, where she worked in an Akanksha Foundation school for two years.

Payal has completed her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from VIT, Pune. She loves to teach and learn. She can’t do without reading; enjoys playing the violin and doing yoga.

Aparna AchuthanCity Head, Mumbai

As a City Head,, Aparna supports school principals in developing their schools. Before joining ISLI, Aparna studied at the University of Pennsylvania where she earned an M.S in Non-profit Leadership. Prior to that, she worked at Pratham as a Regional Coordinator (Placements). Aparna began her career as part of the first cohort of the 2-year Teach for India fellowship program where she taught grades 2 and 3 in a municipal school in Mumbai.

She holds an M.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Mumbai and B.A. in Political Science from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Aparna is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and enjoys listening to music, reading and meeting new people.

Sudhakshina MallikProgramme Lead, Mumbai

Sudakshina has been working in the development sector for thirteen years, with a focus on education. She has worked on managing implementation, grant making and knowledge management in the Education industry.

She has done her M.Phil in Education from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Sudakshina loves reading and listening to music in her free time.

Sai Pramod BathenaCity Head, Hyderabad

Pramod is an Engineer by profession but chose social engineering as a career. Pramod comes to ISLI from Teach for India. As a TFI Fellow, he taught grade 2 and 3 in a low income private school in Hyderabad. Prior to that, he worked in varied capacities in education as well as skill development sectors. He was an Assistant Professor in an engineering college, trainer at young leadership camps for underprivileged youth and a coach for civil services aspirants.

Pramod is passionate about politics and public policy.

Sushant Nambiar Programme Lead

Prior to being a 'Programme Lead', Sushanth worked directly with over 35 school leaders as a programme manager. During this time, he witnessed huge transformations and initiatives in schools, and it motivated him to lead more programme managers in the same direction. Before ISLI, as a Teach For India Fellow, he taught a class of 50+ children and created multiple programs wherein children could work on their individual talents and perform in public settings. Sushanth has a masters degree in philosophy and public policy from the London School of Economics.

Sushanth also played competitive tennis for 8 years, rising as high as the lower professional domain. He loves physical-fitness activities, organizing game-nights, watching movies and sitcoms, reading books on detective fiction, systems thinking and psychology.

Rahul Raina Programme Lead

Rahul is a Program Lead for the Hyderabad City Fellowship. His previous experience includes setting up and running a school in rural Maharashtra as a school leader. Recently, he has coached around 40 school leaders as a program manager at ISLI, wherein he worked with three cohorts of school leaders in building their skills and driving school-wide changes through them.

His interest lies in understanding what motivates adults to learn, their skill building and early childhood education. When he is not working, Rahul enjoys creating things from waste and finding things to use a glue gun on.

Manasi Rajan Programme Lead, Pune

Manasi has worked in the education field for 7 years. Prior to ISLI, she developed content for school leadership training and worked with school principals at Kotak Education Foundation. She has also worked with Muktangan on teacher training, content writing and counseling. Manasi has a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sussex and a diploma in experiential education.

Manasi enjoys reading, going on treks, and painting.

Mamta NaiduPune City Head

With over 13 years of rich experience in Educational Services, Mamta has worked with varied customers across industry domains. Her career span includes work experience in India and the USA. With a bachelor's degree in philosophy, she believes that ‘Teaching is more than imparting knowledge, it’s Inspiring change’. She asserts that we all need to find courage to let go of what we can’t change.

When Mamta is not working, she prefers to be around her pet and travel the world. She loves new experiences, and sharing those experiences/stories with her close family & friends.

Bharath SequeiraCity Head, Bengaluru

Bharath has worked in the education field for seven years. Prior to ISLI, he worked with the Thermax Foundation- Leadership institute for teachers as Program Manager for 2 years. He also worked as Partner Engagement manager for a year in Pune, contributing to the professional development of the teachers in Pune Municipal Corporation schools. Prior to that he was a fellow at Teach for India from 2011 to 2013. Bharath began his stint in education sector as a Science teacher in Indus International School, Hyderabad.

Bharath has completed his M.Sc in Microbiology from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore and PG Diploma in International Education from Indus Training and research Institute, Bangalore. Bharath loves reading, cooking and exploring nature.

Neha NairProgramme Lead

After few years in the IT industry, Neha decided to take a plunge and pursue her passion in the development sector.

Neha has prior experience of teaching grade 2 and grade 3 students in a low-income school as a Teach for India fellow. Prior to joining ISLI, she worked with an organization that worked on skill building of government school teachers and school principals.

When she is not in schools, Neha likes to spend her time painting, reading and traveling.
