Gayatri Nair LoboExecutive Director

Gayatri brings to ISLI a mix of strategy consulting and education experience, having worked most recently as a Senior Project Manager at Dalberg Global Development Advisors. At Dalberg, Gayatri led an engagement with a large Indian conglomerate to identify interventions in education on which to focus their group-level CSR efforts. Before joining Dalberg, Gayatri was the Chief Operating Officer at Teach For India, and was part of the scale up of operations during its first 6 years. Gayatri has also previously worked at OC&C Strategy Consultants as an engagement manager in Mumbai and London, working with clients in the media, telecom and retail sectors. Before OC&C, Gayatri worked at Avalon Consulting as an Associate Vice President, on projects across multiple sectors like engineering, chemicals and logistics.

Gayatri has a Masters in Management Studies and a Bachelors in Commerce from Mumbai University. She enjoys travelling, music and spending time with her twin boys.

Sreeja NedungadiChief Operaions Officer

Sreeja worked at The Akanksha Foundation until 2012 as a consultant. She worked with the CEO and the senior leadership team on strategic and operational projects, ranging from organisational development and recruitment to laying the foundation for the India School Leadership Institute. Prior to that, she was the Operations Development Manager at Tesco Stores Limited, the supermarket chain, and focussed on supply chain management projects.

She completed her B.A. in Economics and English from Swarthmore College and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Sreeja spends her time out of the office raising her two young daughters. She also loves travelling with her family, practising yoga and is an avid swimmer.

Eric SquiresChief Academic Officer

Eric Squires has been an educator for over 30 years. He spent a large portion of his early career in the UK, working as a science teacher, department head, deputy head, and finally principal. During the latter part of his career, Eric shifted his focus toward international education, leading international schools both in the UK and abroad. Eric has spent time in Egypt and the UAE leading schools, and working with the governments there, training school leaders and teachers.

Eric holds a Bachelor's of Science in Geology from Bristol University and Masters of Arts in Educational Management from the Open University.

Ramya RajaramMarketing Head, Central Team

Prior to joining ISLI, Ramya has worked as a brand custodian for more than 12 years with Ogilvy & Mather advertising, working on leading brands and categories. An underlying desire to work in the social sector led her to ISLI, handling the Marketing and Communication.

She has a PG Diploma in Advertising and Communication Management from NMIMS, Mumbai and is a graduate in Physics from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai. She is also an accredited Life coach and trained in alternative therapies and music.

Ajay Shah Finance Head, Central Team

Ajay brings over 15 years of leadership experience in financial planning, operations and business management with the last 5 years spent in the education/training industry. Ajay believes that the education industry in India is rapidly growing, and there is a need for people who can be mentored into leadership roles. His earlier role was as Finance Head at Sports Gurukul LLP. Prior to that he was Managing Partner at Shreeji Distributors, a firm providing solar control, decorative, privacy and safety film solutions.

He holds a Masters degree in Business Management from the University of Mumbai. He spends his free time taking walks, listening to old Hindi songs and reading books.

Ritika ChawlaCurriculum Head, Central Team

Prior to her role as the Curriculum Head for ISLI, Ritika was also served as City Head at ISLI. She has also worked with the fellows under the ISLI National Fellowship as Program Manager.

Prior to this, she was studying MA in Education at Azim Premji University, Bangalore. She completed her Teach for India fellowship in 2012 and has taught grade 2 & 3 in a municipal school in Mumbai. She has also worked as a Business Analyst with different organisations and as a happiness consultant with Oye Happy planning surprises.

Ritika has a BBA and PGDHRM from Symbiosis International University. When not being a workaholic, she enjoys traveling, writing, reading, watching random movies and surprising people.

Harmik SinghNational Relationship Lead, Central Team

Before joining ISLI, Harmik had worked with Accenture for more than 3 years in various capacities, and has been involved with various NGOs. A few trips to a tribal school in rural Maharashtra changed his perspective about the education sector in India. In December 2013, he quit his corporate career and took up a job in the NGO sector. He has worked extensively in Marketing, Internal Communication, Fund Raising and Resource Mobilization.

Harmik has a B.E. in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai. He loves to try new cuisines, travel and watch documentaries. He is an aspiring Stand-Up Comedian and Story-Teller.

Payal JainMonitoring & Evaluation Lead, Central Team

Payal works as the Monitoring and Evaluation Head at ISLI. Prior to joining ISLI, she worked as a data scientist at Mu Sigma Bangalore. She was also a Teach for India Fellow in Pune, where she worked in an Akanksha Foundation school for two years.

Payal has completed her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from VIT, Pune. She loves to teach and learn. She can’t do without reading; enjoys playing the violin and doing yoga.

Aparna AchuthanCity Head, Mumbai

As a City Head,, Aparna supports school principals in developing their schools. Before joining ISLI, Aparna studied at the University of Pennsylvania where she earned an M.S in Non-profit Leadership. Prior to that, she worked at Pratham as a Regional Coordinator (Placements). Aparna began her career as part of the first cohort of the 2-year Teach for India fellowship program where she taught grades 2 and 3 in a municipal school in Mumbai.

She holds an M.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Mumbai and B.A. in Political Science from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Aparna is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and enjoys listening to music, reading and meeting new people.

Sudhakshina MallikProgramme Lead, Mumbai

Sudakshina has been working in the development sector for thirteen years, with a focus on education. She has worked on managing implementation, grant making and knowledge management in the Education industry.

She has done her M.Phil in Education from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Sudakshina loves reading and listening to music in her free time.

Souvik BhattarcharyaStrategy Lead, Mumbai

As the Strategy Lead, Souvik works closely with budget schools' leaders in the City Fellowship Programme. Prior to working in ISLI, Souvik, as a Teach For India fellow, taught middle school math and science in a low income school in Mumbai for two years, and helped his students to rank in the Math and Science SOF Olympiads.

A teacher at heart, Souvik is also an electrical engineer on the side, and has worked on designing switchgear and automation solutions for Siemens Ltd. for two years. In his free time, he is often found strolling around on GMAT/GRE forums helping test takers on the content and the psychology aspect of standardized tests, rebuilding his iTunes library, and act as a mediator when fights break out between apple and android fanboys.

Nasreen Abdul KhaderCity Head, Hyderabad

Nasreen has spent over 20 years working in the field of education in various capacities. Nasreen started her career as a school teacher and also worked with companies like Educomp, where she coordinated the Intel Teach, Dell Youth Connect, World Links and Teacher Training in Collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Most recently she worked as the Learning Expert with English Helper.

Nasreen has a B.A (Hons) Degree in Sociology from Jesus and Mary College New Delhi. Nasreen loves cooking and plans to publish a cookbook when she retires. She spends every free minute she gets pottering around in her garden.

Sai Pramod BathenaProgramme Lead, Hyderabad

Pramod is an Engineer by profession but chose social engineering as a career. Pramod comes to ISLI from Teach for India. As a TFI Fellow, he taught grade 2 and 3 in a low income private school in Hyderabad. Prior to that, he worked in varied capacities in education as well as skill development sectors. He was an Assistant Professor in an engineering college, trainer at young leadership camps for underprivileged youth and a coach for civil services aspirants.

Pramod is passionate about politics and public policy.

Manvi Arora Strategy Lead, Hyderabad

Before joining ISLI, Manvi was a Teach for India fellow, where she taught Grade 1 during the first year of her fellowship in Pune, and continued her second year by teaching Grade 2 in a government school in Delhi. Prior to Teach for India, Manvi worked with Cognizant, Pune for 2 years.

She has completed her Bachelors in Information Technology from M.I.T.S. Apart from her quest of improving the education system in India, Manvi loves travelling and pursues theatre as her second passion. She loves acting and has performed at a national level.

Akanksha GhaiStrategy Lead, Pune

It was during the two-year fellowship at Teach For India when Akanksha closely observed how an effective school principal could impact the school improvement. This realisation convinced her to join ISLI and support school leaders in bringing about the transformation across schools and classrooms.

Akanksha started her professional career with Dhanlaxmi bank in 2009 after completing her graduation from Panipat. With four years of experience in banking across various roles, she joined Teach for India to work with 80 students from an urban community in West Delhi. During this time, she collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to provide the resources and education for these students.

As a budding poet, Akanksha loves writing in her free time. She plans to start a video blog soon to share her poetry with everyone.

Bharath SequeiraCity Head, Bengaluru

Bharath has worked in the education field for seven years. Prior to ISLI, he worked with the Thermax Foundation- Leadership institute for teachers as Program Manager for 2 years. He also worked as Partner Engagement manager for a year in Pune, contributing to the professional development of the teachers in Pune Municipal Corporation schools. Prior to that he was a fellow at Teach for India from 2011 to 2013. Bharath began his stint in education sector as a Science teacher in Indus International School, Hyderabad.

Bharath has completed his M.Sc in Microbiology from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore and PG Diploma in International Education from Indus Training and research Institute, Bangalore. Bharath loves reading, cooking and exploring nature.
