Sreeja NedungadiChief Operating Officer

Sreeja worked at The Akanksha Foundation until 2012 as a consultant. She worked with the CEO and the senior leadership team on strategic and operational projects, ranging from organisational development and recruitment to laying the foundation for the India School Leadership Institute. Prior to that, she was the Operations Development Manager at Tesco Stores Limited, the supermarket chain, and focussed on supply chain management projects. She completed her B.A. in Economics and English from Swarthmore College and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Sreeja spends her time out of the office raising her two young daughters. She also loves travelling with her family, practising yoga and is an avid swimmer.

Eric SquiresChief Programme Officer

Eric Squires has been an educator for over 30 years. He spent a large portion of his early career in the UK, working as a science teacher, department head, deputy head, and finally principal. During the latter part of his career, Eric shifted his focus toward international education, leading international schools both in the UK and abroad. Eric has spent time in Egypt and the UAE leading schools, and working with the governments there, training school leaders and teachers. Eric holds a Bachelor's of Science in Geology from Bristol University and Masters of Arts in Educational Management from the Open University.

Payal JainMonitoring & Evaluation Lead

Payal works as the Monitoring and Evaluation Lead at ISLI. Prior to joining ISLI, she worked as a data scientist at Mu Sigma Bangalore. She was also a Teach for India Fellow in Pune, where she worked in an Akanksha Foundation school for two years. Payal has completed her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from VIT, Pune. She loves to teach and learn and teach some more. She can’t do without reading; enjoys playing the violin and doing yoga.

Kiran GandhiFinance Associate

Kiran is the Finance Associate at ISLI. He has 4 years of experience in the Finance domain. He had been associated with ‘Raising A Mathematician’ (RAM) Foundation, an NGO with a focus on teaching and creating interest in Mathematics among students.

Kiran holds an MBA in Finance, a degree in Commerce as well as a Certification in Business Analytics. He enjoys exploring new cuisines in different restaurants, travelling & reading on varied topics.

Nikita NichaniHuman Resources Associate

As part of the Operations team, Nikita supports ISLI in all HR related functions. Before joining ISLI, Nikita worked in the field of Credit Monitoring with a bank for four years. Her earlier work included content writing and work with a skills-assessment company.

She holds a Master's degree in International Business from Monash University, Australia. In her free time Nikita loves travelling, reading, watching movies and TV series, and spending time with her family and friends.

Harmik SinghNational Relationship Lead

Before joining ISLI, Harmik had worked with Accenture for more than 3 years in various capacities, and has been involved with various NGOs. A few trips to a tribal school in rural Maharashtra changed his perspective about the education sector in India. In December 2013, he quit his corporate career and took up a job in the NGO sector. He has worked extensively in Marketing, Internal Communication, Fund Raising and Resource Mobilization. He has a B.E. in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai. 

He loves to try new cuisines, travel and watch documentaries. He is an aspiring Stand-Up Comedian and Story-Teller.

Ramya RajaramMarketing Head

Prior to joining ISLI, Ramya has worked as a brand custodian for more than 12 years with Ogilvy & Mather advertising, working on leading brands and categories. An underlying desire to work in the social sector led her to ISLI, handing all the marketing and communication. She has a PG Diploma in Advertising and Communication Management from NMIMS, Mumbai and is a graduate in Physics from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai.

She is also an accredited Wellness coach and trained in alternative therapies and music.

Shriram TarawadeMarketing Manager

Shriram works as a Marketing Manager for ISLI. He is MBA in Marketing and has worked as a Marketing manager in diverse industries.

His interest in education industry and the passion for marketing communication are two key reasons for his role as a brand manager at ISLI. He believes that at the end of the day, there is nothing more fulfilling than your work contributing to a field which has a direct impact on the betterment of tomorrow. Shriram is also a writer. He authored a fiction novel last year and loves penning down short stories and poems in free time.

Deepti AdsuleProgramme Manager

Deepti works with the school leaders of budget private schools in Mumbai as a Program Manager. Before joining ISLI, Deepti worked with Teach For India as a Fellow for 2 years, where she taught grade 7 and 8 in a municipal school in Mumbai.
Prior to that, she worked with ICICI Bank as a Credit Manager in the credit card department, after completing her MBA in finance. In her free time, Deepti likes to travel and read. She also enjoys watching television series and listening to music.

Aparna AchuthanMumbai City Head

As a Mumbai City Head, Aparna supports school principals in developing their schools. Before joining ISLI, Aparna studied at the University of Pennsylvania where she earned an M.S in Non-profit Leadership. Prior to that, she worked at Pratham as a Regional Coordinator (Placements). Aparna began her career as part of the first cohort of the 2-year Teach for India fellowship program where she taught grades 2 and 3 in a municipal school in Mumbai. She holds an M.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Mumbai and B.A. in Political Science from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

Aparna is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and enjoys listening to music, reading and meeting new people.

Souvik BhattarcharyaStrategy Lead, Mumbai

Souvik works as a strategy lead in Mumbai, and works closely with budget schools' leaders in the city fellowship program. Prior to working in ISLI, Souvik, as a Teach For India fellow, taught middle school math and science in a low income school in Mumbai for two years, and helped his students to rank in the Math and Science SOF Olympiads. A teacher at heart, Souvik is also an electrical engineer on the side, and has worked on designing switchgear and automation solutions for Siemens Ltd. for two years. In his free time, he is often found strolling around on GMAT/GRE forums helping test takers on the content and the psychology aspect of standardized tests, rebuilding his iTunes library, and act as a mediator when fights break out between apple and android fanboys.

Pushkar DevProgramme Manager

Pushkar has graduated with a B.A in Psychology and a B.Ed from Mumbai University. She pursued M.A in Education from Azim Premji University. She has worked as a social studies teacher and a school development associate with SCHS's schools.

She likes to spend her free time grooming her pets, binging on latest sitcoms and spray painting things around her.

Ritika ChawlaCurriculum Head

Ritika is the Curriculum Head for ISLI. In her previous role, she has also served as City Head at ISLI. She has also worked with the fellows under the ISLI National Fellowship as Program Manager. Prior to this, she was studying MA in Education at Azim Premji University, Bangalore. She completed her Teach for India fellowship in 2012 and has taught grade 2 & 3 in a municipal school in Mumbai. She has also worked as a Business Analyst with different organisations and as a happiness consultant with Oye Happy planning surprises. Ritika has a BBA and PGDHRM from Symbiosis International University. When not being a workaholic, she enjoys traveling, writing, reading, watching random movies and surprising people.

Manasi RajanProgramme Manager

Manasi completed her post graduation in Clinical Psychology from University of Sussex in 2011. She started her professional career with Soch in Delhi, where she worked with special needs children. She later worked with Drishti in 2012, where she worked with parents and teachers in the area of special education. Her interest in training and content also led her to Muktangan. She pursued her interest in working with School Leaders by working with Kotak Education Foundation in the School Leadership Development Intervention where she worked as a content writer, trainer and mentor.
She enjoys reading and is a voracious reader. She enjoys travelling and spends her free time travelling.

Mrinmayi HuprikarProgramme Manager

Before joining ISLI, Mrinmayi worked as a Teach for India Fellow, teaching a class of 3rd and 4th graders in a private budget school in Pune. Before stepping into the education sector, Mrinmayi worked as a Brand Manager for a start up called “slimasia” with Unex Corp Australia. Mrinmayi holds an MBA degree from the Department of Management sciences, University of Pune.

Being a foodie at heart, Mrinmayi like to try out different cuisines. She loves to dance, travel and watch movies.

Nasreen KhaderHyderabad City Head

Nasreen is the City Head for ISLI, Hyderabad. She has spent over 20 years working in the field of education in various capacities. Nasreen started her career as a school teacher and also worked with companies like Educomp, where she coordinated the Intel Teach, Dell Youth Connect, World Links and Teacher Training in Collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Most recently she worked as the Learning Expert with English Helper. Nasreen has a B.A (Hons) Degree in Sociology from Jesus and Mary College New Delhi. Nasreen loves cooking and plans to publish a cookbook when she retires. She spends every free minute she gets pottering around in her garden.

Abhijit BiswasProgramme Lead

Abhijit worked with Genpact and Teach for India, before joining ISLI. He is an active member of an organization known as Umeed in Hyderabad. He has completed his B.Com from Nagaland University.

Sai Pramod BathenaProgramme Lead

Pramod is an Engineer by profession but chose social engineering as a career. Pramod comes to ISLI from Teach for India. As a TFI Fellow, he taught grade 2 and 3 in a low income private school in Hyderabad. Prior to that, he worked in varied capacities in education as well as skill development sectors. He was an Assistant Professor in an engineering college, trainer at young leadership camps for underprivileged youth and a coach for civil services aspirants.

Pramod is passionate about politics and public policy.

Vikrant PatroCity Programme Manager, Hyderabad

Vikrant started his professional career as a banker with ICICI. After 4 years of accounting, data analysis and number crunching, he moved on to teach at M.A. Ideal School, Hyderabad for 2 years through TFI. Post fellowship, he continued with the school as an Assistant Director and was responsible for the Primary Grades. With ISLI, his goal is to empower and enable School Leaders to ensure quality education is made accessible for students irrespective of the fee structures. He loves introducing himself as a primary grade teacher and collecting picture books. Besides education he is equally passionate about cooking, reading and listening to music (language no barrier). 

Sapna Fathima SaleemCurriculum Manager

A Bachelor in Industrial Engineering, Sapna spent a lot of her time in college working in areas such as volunteer management, program implementation, fundraising and teaching. Following her heart, she pursued the Teach for India fellowship. Alongside teaching, she co-initiated and co-founded a community mobilisation project in collaboration with her school team. After working with ISLI for 2 years as the City Programme Manager for Hyderabad, Sapna now works as the Curriculum Manager at ISLI. Sapna is an alumna of College of Engineering Trivandrum, Kerala. In her free time Sapna loves reading others’ work and creating very random pieces of art. Sapna is one of the youngest members at the Hyderabad Toastmasters Club.

Upasana BhattacharyaPune City Head

Before joining ISLI, Upasana worked as a Teach for India fellow.  She taught a class of 50 children in a government school in Hyderabad. This two-year journey in the classroom instilled the belief that every child deserves an excellent education, thus fuelling her to work on macro-level changes in the system. Before stepping into the education sector, Upasana worked as a software engineer for 3.5yrs in Tata Consultancy Services. She has a B.Tech degree in IT from West Bengal University of Technology.

She likes to spend her weekends catching up on sleep, movies, music and books, in that order.

Akanksha GhaiStrategy Lead, Pune

Akanksha completed her graduation from Panipat and then started her professional career with Dhanlaxmi bank in 2009. After working for 4 years in banking across various roles, she joined Teach for India and worked with 80 students from an urban community in West Delhi. She collaborated with internal as well as external stakeholders to provide the resources and education that these students deserved. During her TFI fellowship she realized that  transformation in her school was directly linked to the transformation in the school principal during those two years. This impact made her join ISLI to support school leaders in order to witness transformation across schools and classrooms.

Rahul RainaProgramme Manager

A big believer in collective action, Rahul comes from the northernmost part of India. Rahul started his career with Accenture and then became a fellow with Teach for India. Rahul fits the role at ISLI with himself having led a school in rural Maharashtra wherein he learnt about developing team culture, community engagement and developed keen interest in Early Childhood education.

When not working, Rahul enjoys creating things from waste products.

Rohit ThapaProgramme Manager

Rohit was a Teach for India Fellow, where he contributed to the wholesome development of the students in a Municipal School in Delhi. His fellowship experience includes various projects with Central Square Foundation, Gandhi Ashram School and Books For All. He has also worked as a Marketing Head at Khwaab Welfare Trust, a women empowerment initiative. Rohit is a graduate in Economics from Delhi University, after which he worked with a health consultancy. He is an MBA in Marketing & H.R from University of Hyderabad. Rohit likes to indulge in philosophical inquiries, play volleyball and loves singing.

Sushanth Nambiar Programme Manager

Before joining ISLI, Sushanth worked as a Teach For India Fellow in Hyderabad. He taught a class of 50+ children and created multiple programs wherein children could work on their individual talents and then perform in larger settings. The two years that he spent there gave him his first insights into the education system and what it can mean to bring out the unique potential of each and every child.  Prior to that he played competitive tennis for 8 years, rising as high as the lower professional domain. He has a masters degree in philosophy and public policy from the London School of Economics.  He also loves physical-fitness activities, organizing game-nights, watching movies and sitcoms, reading detective novels and books on systems thinking.

Srividya Sunkesula Programme Manager

Srividya is a mechanical engineering graduate. Her passion to explore the Education sector motivated her to join Teach for India fellowship.

She loves painting and spends most of her free time gardening.

Bharath SequeiraBengaluru City Head

Bharath has worked in the education field for seven years. Prior to ISLI, he worked with Thermax Foundation- Leadership institute for teachers as Program Manager for 2 years. He also worked as Partner Engagement manager for a year in Pune, contributing to the professional development of the teachers in Pune Municipal Corporation schools. Prior to that he was a fellow at Teach for India from 2011 to 2013. Bharath began his stint in education sector as a Science teacher in Indus International School, Hyderabad. Bharath has completed his M.Sc in Microbiology from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore and PG Diploma in International Education from Indus Training and research Institute, Bangalore. Bharath loves reading, cooking and exploring nature.

Nikhil SandeepRecruitment & Operations Associate

Prior to joining ISLI, Nikhil completed his fellowship with Teach For India in Pune, teaching a wonderful group of 6th and 7th grade children. Nikhil graduated from Christ University, Bangalore completing his Bachelor of Commerce and specialising in Finance. He is passionate about working in a team, learning from new experiences and meeting people. He loves to cook and try out some uncommon cuisines. When he isn’t visiting schools, Nikhil loves playing sports, talking about his TFI classroom and checking out interesting places to eat in Bangalore.
